Women's Super-Soft Shetland Lambswool Crew Neck Cardigan (Unbrushed)
A true Scottish classic, our Shetland Wool sweater is a tried-and-true favorite of The Lanam Shop. An essential in any wardrobe our Shetland Wool material is specially dyed to our specifications by a two-hundred-year-old yarn manufacturer. The wool is carefully combed from the inner most layer of the coat of Shetland sheep. Once collected, the wool is carded by antique machines, dyed with natural materials, mixed with other dyed wools to give the “unique Shetland” color variation, spun on centuries old machinery, and the resulting yarn is carefully inspected. From there, it is sent to our partner sweater mill in Scotland where panels are individually crafted, cut, and seams are joined by hand. Finally, a beautifully crafted women's lambswool sweater is ready to be enjoyed. Significantly warmer than regular wool, Shetland Wool is tough enough to brave the coldest Scottish day, yet breathable enough for a regular fall day. This is a traditional UNBRUSHED sweater. This cardigan features a matching grosgrain ribbon on the interior button placket, one inch wide. Subtle matching mother of pearl buttons.

Absolutely beautiful color and high quality garment . I am a little large busted so I probably should have ordered the next size up, but I decided to keep it. It is very warm.

Shetland Lambswool Cardigan (Unbrushed)
I live in a colder climate with many gray skies during the winter months. This sweater caught my eye because it is variated in color and reminded me of the beauty of the ocean. It arrived quickly, packaged well and I was thrilled when I pulled it out of the box to discover this beautiful muted vivacious color in the dead of winter. With all of the smaller specks of color in this sweater, it will be versatile to wear with dress jeans or with a nice dress! It is soft, non itchy and has a nice flow to it. I can tuck the sides in a little and make it into a V shaped sweater with certain blouses that I have. It is warm and cozy yet breathes because it is made out of the natural fabric, beautiful wool yarn. The classic design is ageless and the length is perfect for my 68 years! This was the first time I ordered from this company. I called first to make sure of my size. The personnel could not be more helpful and kind. It's nice to have such a lovely personal shopping experience and their expertise eliminate much anxiety in ordering from an unknown company for me. Thank you Lanam. Shop!
