Associated with Mercury, Apollo and Hercules, the snake is an ornament particularly well-designed accent—carefully using its flexible and elongated body, to form the handles of this remarkable wine cooler. This wine cooler is also adorned with other emblematic decorations of the Empire time, such as vine branches, lion claws, and masks—which, often represent Apollo or Bacchus on other Odiot pieces." -Maison Odiot, Paris
