Known for their vertical and sustainable supply chain, Johnstons of Elgin controls every stage of production from “the sheep to the shoulder seam”. With exacting standards and rigorous quality control measures, Johnstons has developed skills over generations, resulting in some of the finest men’s merino wool sweaters available. Johnstons sources their Merino from free-range flocks of legacy Merino sheep located in southern Australia. Wool from their soft innermost coat is dyed, blended, and spun in Scotland. The sweater pieces are knitted separately and joined on the main knitting frame by hand. The sweater is bathed in the soft waters of The River Teviot to unveil a soft touch. Offered in a range of timeless colors, Johnstons men’s Merino sweaters are suitable for layering, or can be worn on their own. They are breathable enough for year-round warmth and comfort. A shaped shoulder, set-in sleeve, ribbed cuff and waist detailing enhance the comfort and wearability of the garment. Handmade in Scotland, from ethically sourced materials.
