Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at The Lanam Shop. If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns. The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us. Should You have any questions prior to purchase, We would be happy to provide You, in writing, if a specific item(s) can be returned prior to You making a purchase.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to The Lanam Shop, 800 Turnpike Street, Suite 300 North Andover, MA 01845.
  • Delivery refers to when the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered. This is most commonly when a package is marked as "delivered" (or equal variation thereof) by the shipping provider. The date delivered/received is day one.
  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service refers to the Website.
  • Website refers to The Lanam Shop, accessible from https://lanamshop.com
  • You or Your means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

Under the "Shipping & Returns" tab on each product page Customers can find the following product-specific information to make an informed decision, prior to purchase:

  1. Dispatch time frame: based on our experience and recent lead-times for similar orders/items. This is not a Guaranteed timeline.
  2. Return window: day the item is received counts as Day One.
  3. Return credit type: varies by item - Final Sale items cannot be returned for any form of credit.
  4. Restocking fee: any fees paid by the customer to complete the return. Customers are always responsible for return shipping, in the case of Regret Returns (color, size, fit, style etc. not to Customer's taste).

For Goods Purchased at Full Price

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 30 days of Delivery. You must have an approved RMA number* to do so which You can receive by emailing Returns@LanamShop.com and listing:

  • Order Number
  • Item(s) to be returned
  • Reason for Return

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 30 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party You have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the Goods delivered. It must be in the mail on or by the 30th day.

*Items sent back without an approved RMA will incur a 15% restocking fee and other fees may still apply.

TIMELINE: We will reimburse You no later than 21 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You may incur fees for such reimbursement if a restocking fee is noted or the items do not meet the condition stipulated for a return.

For Goods Purchased On Sale

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 15 days of Delivery. You must have an approved RMA number* to do so which You can receive by emailing Returns@LanamShop.com and listing:

  • Order Number
  • Item(s) to be returned
  • Reason for Return

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 15 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party You have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the Goods delivered. It must be in the mail on or by the 15th day.

*Items sent back without an approved RMA will incur a 15% restocking fee and other fees may still apply.

We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You may incur fees for such reimbursement if a restocking fee is noted or the items do not meet the condition stipulated for a return.

For Goods Marked "Closeout" or "Discontinued" in the Product Description

The deadline for cancelling a Closeout or Discontinued Order is 5 days from the date on which you received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered. STORE CREDIT ONLY: We will issue you a store credit for the amount of your purchase. Store credit expires after seven years of issuance and may be used on any future purchase but items purchased in part or whole with a Store Credit are final sale, regardless of any Return/Refund status listed. 

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 5 days of Delivery. You must have an approved RMA number* to do so which You can receive by emailing Returns@LanamShop.com and listing:

  • Order Number
  • Item(s) to be returned
  • Reason for Return

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 5 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party You have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the Goods delivered. It must be in the mail on or by the 5th day.

*Items sent back without an approved RMA will incur a 25% restocking fee deducted from the amount of the Store Credit to be issued.

TIMELINE: We will reimburse You no later than 21 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You may incur fees for such reimbursement if a restocking fee is noted or the items do not meet the condition stipulated for a return.

For Goods Purchased in conjunction with a Sales Promotion

From time to time we may offer Sales Promotions on Our Goods. We may discontinue Promotions at any time and without notice.

Tiered or Quantity Discount Purchases

Should one or more items with Promotion pricing be returned and a refund requested within our 30-day deadline for cancelling an Order, we will:

  • Review the Promotion pricing of the total Order and determine if the Promotion pricing, terms and conditions still apply to the remaining items in the Order net of the returned item(s.)
  • If the Promotion pricing, terms and conditions still apply to the remaining items in the Order net of the returned item(s), we will reimburse You for the promotional price of the returned item(s) no later than 21 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.
  • If the Promotion pricing does not still apply to the remaining items in the Order net of the returned item(s), we will adjust the price of all remaining items in the Order to non-promotion pricing and refund the price You paid for the returned item less the difference between the promotion and non-promotion pricing for the remaining Order. We will issue the reimbursement no later than 21 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Gift-with-Purchase

Summary: We may occasionally offer a “Gift-with-Purchase” (herein, “Gift”) Promotion. “Gift” items are purchased by Us at the time of the Promotion and You, as a participant in the Promotion, may not request a substitute item of the same or different value. It is important that You determine if you are keeping the item purchased prior to using the “Gift.” If you return the item purchased for a refund, We expect that you will also return the “Gift” in unused, salable condition with (any) tags attached. If You return the item purchased but retain the “Gift”, you will be charged the Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the “Gift” as specified on Our website and marketing materials at the time of the Promotion plus any applicable sales tax. Gift-with-Purchase Promotions are not valid for purchases from or shipments to international locations. "Gifts" may ship separately from the purchased item(s).

General “Gift-with-Purchase” Terms: The ARV of the “Gift” item is based on information available to Us at the time of the Promotion. Should You, as the participant in the Promotion, find a higher stated value of the “Gift” from another retailer, You will not receive the difference between, our ARV at the time of the Promotion and the stated value at the other retailer. “Gift” items are subject to availability and We reserve the right to substitute a “Gift” of equal or greater value in our sole discretion. “Gift” items are nonrefundable, not redeemable for cash, and not transferable, and no cash alternative is available. The "Gift" is not for resale and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. If You, as the participant are unable to, or elect not to, use any part of the item, You will forfeit that part of the “Gift-with-Purchase” item. 

How to exercise Your right of cancellation

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return/exchange ("cancellation of order"), please make sure that:

  • The Goods were purchased in the last 30 days for full price items
  • The Goods were purchased in the last 15 days for Sale items (Store Credit ONLY)
  • The Goods were purchased in the last 5 days, for closeout or discontinued items (Store Credit ONLY)
  • The Goods are in the original packaging (missing, damaged, marred, or otherwise altered packaging may result in Us not being able to sell this item as New. Fees or a denial of Return may be levied at our discretion.
  • The Goods were not used or damaged
  • Tag(s) or stickers remain attached
  • Goods have not been cleaned, altered, damaged due to improper use, or clearly personalized

The following Goods cannot be returned or cancelled after being placed:

  • The supply of Goods marked FINAL SALE.
  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications by Special-Order, "crafted upon commission", or clearly personalized.
  • The supply of Goods made from 18/10 or 18/8 stainless steel, sterling silver, silverplate, gold plate, or vermeil (unless otherwise noted, usually with a restocking fee).
  • The supply of Goods made from Guanaco or Vicuna fibers.
  • The supply of Goods which are provided by Floris London, Royall Lyme of Bermuda, or Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap.
  • The supply of Goods which are provided by Launder London
  • The supply of Goods which are provided by Geiger Austria.
  • The supply of Goods which are provided by Fürstenberg Porzellan, Lenox, and Au Bain Marie.
  • The supply of Goods which are provided by SFERRA, Los Encajeros, and Johnstons of Elgin Home (throw blankets, bedding and sleep accessories).
  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.
  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.
  • We do not refund shipping costs or pre-paid import duties (the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from your return) nor will we refund and import fees incurred directly by You unless they were the result of our mistake.

We reserve the right to refuse returns or assess a restocking charge for any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.

We do not accept international Returns.

Gifts

If the Goods were marked as a gift (for a third party) when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You'll receive a gift certificate for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be e-mailed to You.

If the Goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the Order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
