Manufacturing Process

Diligent attention to detail is evident throughout the 30-step crafting process. The individual sweater panels are knitted on century-old machines, hand-linked, feature hand-sewn & handknit finishings, and are washed using the soft waters of The River Teviot—affording the finished knits a lustrous and soft finish. With a commitment to uncompromising quality, sustainability, and enduring value our knitwear pieces reflect 150 years of manufacturing prowess.

Shipping Policy Summary:

Free (2-6 day) ground shipping to the United States over $150. Flat Rate Shipping: $7.95 under $150 to the USA, $55 to Canada (DDP), and $75 to all other locations (DAP). For International shipments only: DDP (Delivery Duties Paid; no additional taxes should be due on delivery) and DAP (Delivery at Place; additional taxes, duties, and fees may be due subject to local laws). We cannot determine in advance duties for countries we ship to on a DAP basis. DDP to Canada is for orders with a pre-tax & shipping total of $400 USD.

Our two-ply Cashmere socks are the perfect companion for boots, shoes and slippers. Fashioned expressly for The Lanam Shop in Hawick, Scotland, our socks are made with Cashmere wool from Mongolia and surrounding regions. The yarn is spun by Z. Hinchliffe & Sons of Yorkshire and combined with nylon to enhance the sock's shape and ensure longer wear. Our two-ply Cashmere socks deliver unsurpassed quality, value, comfort and warmth.

Medium: US Men's 9-11

Large: US Men's 11.5-13.5

    Sourced from the steppes of China and inner Mongolia, the cashmere goats that provide their hair live in the Gobi desert where temperatures drop to below -30°F. Only the fine inner hair is used to make our yarns.
