Carrs Silver Dubarry Stainless Steel Flatware Collection
Often incorrectly believed to be a French design, Dubarry is an English Victorian era design. Though it shares a name with a famous Maîtresse-en-titre of King Louis XV of France, the famous name the pattern should be associated with is that of Englishman Thomas Chippendale. The Dubarry flatware pattern is inspired by the cabinetry designs of Chippendale and features a free-moving pattern, with tight cuts and swooping lines. The pattern is closely associated with the RMS Titanic, as it was selected for the main formal dining room.
Extremely durable, with a lasting gleam 18/10 stainless steel makes for excellent flatware. The “18/10” refers to an alloy comprising 18% chrome and 10% nickel.
