Known for their vertical approach and sustainable supply chain, Johnstons of Elgin controls every stage— from goat to the finishing touch. With demanding standards, Johnstons has honed skills over generations, resulting in the finest Scottish cashmere sweaters on the market today. Cashmere from free-range Mongolian herds is dyed, blended, and spun by at Johnstons’ factory in Scotland. Individual pieces of the cashmere sweater are knitted separately and then transferred to the main knitting frame by hand. Attached by hand, one stitch at a time, when the body of the sweater starts to take shape, it is then washed in the waters of the local River Teviot. Offered in a range of timeless colors, Johnstons two-ply sweaters are perfect for layering and breathable enough for year-round comfort.
